For Tutors
Registration for tutors is FREE OF CHARGE. Private Tutors who sign up with ourchildrenenterprises.com (A services by Harvestzone International) agreed to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
a) You must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore permanent resident. b) A minimum academic qualification of an O level certificate and good grades in the subjects that you wish to teach. c) You must produce all necessary documents to certify your academic qualifications, credentials and NRIC to the student/s or parents on the first lesson.
2. Commission
A one-time commission of 50% of the first-month tuition fee will be charged to the private tutor, which we will collect directly from the student/s or parents, in the 2nd week of tuition. Any attempt to cheat or deprive the Agency of her legal share of commission will result in legal actions being taken.
3. Cancellation of Assignment
If you decided to cancel the assignment before the first lesson that you have agreed to take up, prior notice of 24 hours before the first lesson must be given to the Agency (not the parents or students). If you fail to notify of your cancellation, an administrative charge of S$30 will be imposed to you.
4. In order to get more tuition jobs for our tutors, our tuition agency’s associated partners will also be contacting you for new tuition assignments that might be suitable for you.
5. Termination of Assignment
The minimum commitment period for a tuition assignment is 1 month. We will advise that it is preferred that you can have a long term commitment as most parents do not like to change private tutor often. If you terminate an assignment before the first month, the Agency will recover our legal share of the one-time commission of 50% of the first-month tuition fee from you.
If the student prematurely terminates the assignment during the first month, you will only receive 50% of the payment for all your service hours. However, if the reason for the student’s termination is due to your fault as a private tutor and does not want to pay any tuition fees (for example – you are always late, skip lessons without any valid explanation or reasons, etc…), you will bear the full commission charge.
6. Qualifications and Authentication
All tutors are to provide accurate information and scanned softcopy of NRIC and Certifications to show to the parents/tutees. We will not tolerate tutors who attempt to cheat clients with fake qualifications and information and will report them to the Police.
7. Non-Payment by Tutees
When there are any disputes or concerns regarding tuition fees between any parties, ourchildrenenterprises.com may step in to help facilitate payments. We will provide assistance, to our reasonable means, to help tutors to claim monies from clients and vice versa. However, we shall not be legally responsible for any payment disputes between tutors and tutees. Specifically, if tutees refuse to pay tutors or vice versa, We are not responsible to insure either party and will not be liable to pay up any tuition fees to either party.
8. Disclaimer
The Agency will not act as an arbitrator or mediator for any conflicts or disagreements that arise between the private tutor and the student/parents. However, we are always prepared to offer our suggestions.
9. Agreement for ourchildrenenterprises.com and Associates to contact you
With effect from January 2, 2014, the Singapore Do-Not-Call (DNC) Registry will come into effect. This means that once you have registered on the DNC database, you will no longer receive unsolicited phone calls or messages. In providing your details to our Agency via the Tutor Registration Form, you hereby provide your consent and agree that the Agency may continue to contact you for any current or future tuition assignments.

For Parents and Students
📘 Our Service
At ourchildrenenterprises.com, we are committed to connecting parents and students with qualified, experienced, and reliable home tutors. While we do our best to match each student with a suitable tutor, we do not guarantee improvements in academic performance, as outcomes depend on a combination of efforts from the tutor, student, and parent.
We believe education is a collaborative effort. Tutors spend only a few hours a week with students, so parental involvement and support are crucial in helping a child succeed.
📄 Tutor Engagement Policy (Contract)
There is no binding contract for tuition assignments. However, once a tutor accepts an assignment, they are expected to complete at least four (4) lessons at the agreed rate and schedule. After this period, either party may decide to discontinue the arrangement.
If a tutor is found to be unsuitable, you may request a replacement. We strongly discourage last-minute cancellations or breaches of agreement and encourage clients to inform us immediately of any issues so we can take appropriate action.
💰 Tuition Rates
Tuition fees are quoted to you by our coordinators and are fixed once both tutor and client agree to the rate. These rates are based on tutor profiles and recent market averages, but actual quotes may vary depending on the tutor’s qualifications and experience.
If a tutor attempts to renegotiate the rate or schedule without our knowledge, please notify us. Similarly, clients must not renegotiate directly with tutors during the first four weeks of lessons. All changes must be communicated through ourchildrenenterprises.com for transparency and fairness.
💸 Commission & Payments
For the first two weeks of lessons, the fees are payable to ourchildrenenterprises.com as our agency commission. After the initial two weeks, all payments will go directly to the tutor.
If the arrangement is cancelled within the first month (by either party), 50% of the total amount for the month will be charged as agency commission.
🧾 Tutor Credentials
We rely on tutors to provide truthful and accurate information in their profiles. While we do not alter tutor data, we always advise parents to verify the tutor’s qualifications and identification during the first lesson. Tutors are expected to present original certificates and identification for review.
📍 Tuition Location
Tuition is typically held at the student’s residence. If both parties agree on an alternative venue, arrangements can be made. However, we are not responsible for the suitability of the chosen location. All scheduled lessons will be considered chargeable sessions, regardless of venue suitability.
📅 First Lesson & Rescheduling
Once a tutor is confirmed, the schedule for the first lesson is fixed. Rescheduling is allowed only in exceptional cases (e.g., student illness), and parents must notify us in advance.
After the first lesson, changes to the schedule can be discussed directly with the tutor. However, please be considerate, as tutors set aside specific time slots for each student.

📢 Client Feedback & Complaints
We take feedback seriously. If you experience any issues with a tutor’s conduct, professionalism, or performance, please inform us. Tutors who receive multiple complaints will be deprioritized for future assignments until their behavior is corrected.
📝 Additional Notes
Tutors are expected to treat the student’s learning materials and environment with care. Any damage caused to books, stationery, or property must be compensated by the tutor. We hold all tutors accountable for their actions during lessons.
